This was probably the closet I’ve come to a bald eagle I was photographing. We were in a neighbor’s boat when these two guys started flying around us.

A series of Drone captured video clips taken during a foggy morning over Moss Lake, in North Carolina.
I caught this guy in the grass, saying, “Aaaaaah.” We were walking around the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and caught lots of pictures of wildlife.

This was my first Paleated Woodpecker. He was working a tree above “Bubba Pond,” where bubba the giant alligator lives. I got lots of pictures that day wondering around the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens near Charleston, SC.

Of course, this photo came out almost completely dark. But with Lightroom, I was able to tweak out enough feature and then HDR the image so that there is some Charleston there. I’m especially fond of this photo.

These are photographs taken near, by or from above Moss Lake in Cleveland County, North Carolina. The music is original, “Bayou Breakdown #29526” – because 29,525 other songs have already be named “Bayou Breakdown.”
This video includes pictures from a three-day drive I took through the Selkirks, in British Columbia. My wife has commented that I need to leave the pictures up longer, so I have in this video. The music was inspired by Max Richter’s “On the Nature of Daylight” from the movie, “Arrival.”
In 2012 I spoke at a conference of independent school teachers in Pukalani on the island of Maui. While there, I had the pleasure of driving on some of the most spectacular and spectacularly terrifying roads of my life. Here are my favorite photos from those three days.
This video features photos spanning the years from 1997 to 2014, from Fuji disposable cameras to my Nikon D7100 DSLR. The music was programmed using Logic X Pro.
Photography is all about light and what our world does to it. Water has an especially dramatic effect on light. Here, a bubble, formed by some behavior of physics that I cannot remember right now. This photo was probably post processed with Photomatix Pro, HDR’ing it for color and texture.
